Fede’s collaborative, client centered and strength-based approach is informed by theories and models such as: Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Collaborative Proactive Solutions and Adventure Therapy. Through outdoor activities, mindfulness and play, Fede works with clients to develop flexibility, adaptability, frustration tolerance and problem solving skills. Fede lays emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship that is based on safety, trust and connection, laying the foundations for self-regulation, as well as engaging parents and caretakers as active participants of treatment, whose expertise in their child/teen is essential for the client’s therapeutic success.
